Senior Software Engineer (TpEMIS)
Lead backend systems for the TpEMIS admissions and grading modules. You'll own architecture decisions for one of the most-used university ERPs in West Africa, working with a small senior team in Freetown.

What you’ll do
- Own the architecture and roadmap for the admissions and grading services
- Lead a team of 2–3 engineers; mentor mid-level and senior peers
- Make and document trade-off decisions across performance, cost, and operational complexity
- Run regular incident reviews and drive operational excellence
- Collaborate with the design team on token-driven, schema-aware UI
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of production Node.js, Python or Go
- Track record shipping multi-tenant SaaS or institutional software
- Strong written communication; comfortable proposing architecture in writing
- Right to work in Sierra Leone (relocation support available)
Nice to have
- Experience with West-African market constraints (low-bandwidth, intermittent connectivity)
- Database tuning experience (Postgres or MySQL at scale)
- Open-source contributions
